Opened in February of 2007, this year marks our 19 year anniversary, and our 20th year in business. Our small family business has sold THOUSANDS of vehicles, with OVER 450 Google 5 Star Reviews, and a 4.7 total Google Rating! We have sold multiple vehicles to the same families and repeat customers! Our Owner/Operator, Dana Furthmiller, has over 40 years of auto sales and management experience, and our strategy is simple; provide great cars at a great price, most are under $10,000, with no high-margin markups or high-pressure sales tactics.

We do not overprice our cars, and we have NEVER charged any extra Dealer Fees. You deal directly with the owner, so NO middle-person needs to be involved or paid a commission, that is just one reason why are prices are awesome! Dana Furthmiller has been around cars all of his life. His father, Dave Furthmiller, owned and operated Dave Furthmiller Speed Shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana, during the 60's and 70's, specializing in high performance racing engines, and was known for delivering "Power not Promises" to many racers and car enthusiasts. Dana's automotive career also started in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1982, where he worked in the service department for a local Harley-Davidson dealership during high school. In the Spring of 1986, Dana moved from motorcycles to cars and accepted a service manager position for a Toyota store in Fort Wayne. Over the next 7 years, Dana advanced through the service department ranks where he eventually became the Parts and Service Director in charge of several franchises for an Indiana-based mega-dealer. During this time, Dana served 4 years in the Indiana Air National Guard. Then in 1993, a promotion into Sales Management for this same mega-dealer led Dana to a 14 year career climb to running multiple new car stores with positions as a Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, Director of Operations, and General Manager. Finally, the timing was right for Dana to step out and fulfill his dream of opening his own business. Furthmiller Motors was opened in February of 2007 in Auburn, Indiana. With over 40 years of dealership service and sales experience, Dana is knowledgeable and understanding as to what it takes to deliver on promises and exceed the expectations of customers. Dana strives to run Furthmiller Motors with a relaxed, laid-back approach, answering all questions and concerns with the utmost professionalism and honesty. Dana plays bass guitar in a band on the weekends, and enjoys remodeling and home improvement projects in his spare time, which is on Sundays! He has been married for over 34 years to Katie, and has three beautiful daughters, Erica, Alexis, and Natalie.

Katie Furthmiller is a graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School and International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has been married to Dana Furthmiller for over 35 years. She is not only Co-owner of Furthmiller Motors, but she also makes our Specialty Furthmiller Floor Mats that are pictured and included in each vehicle, along with making our Furthmiller Laser Cut Key Chains, and all of our Furthmiller-branded clothing that our crew wears, from hats, to shirts, to jackets and sweatshirts! Katie also is a BIG helper in getting our vehicle Interiors cleaned up before they are sold, along with chasing after FRESH vehicle purchases from New Car Dealers, so we can get them transported back to our location. Katie is a dedicated and active Mom with her 3 daughters, Erica, Alexis and Natalie, and has several hobbies outside of Furthmiller Motors. She always loves Beach time in Sunny climates, and is always working on some type of creative project in her spare time, either for Furthmiller Motors or friends and family.

Erica Furthmiller worked with Furthmiller Motors during her High School years as an Administrative Assistant, which included keeping the dealership paperwork moving and organized. After graduating from Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Erica moved to Ocala, Florida, to pursue her love and passion for horses. From 2011 to 2021, Erica worked for Ford Motor Company in the Ocala, Florida area, focusing on Customer Service and Service Department Operations. In April of 2021, Erica rejoined Furthmiller Motors as our Vehicle Purchasing Director, with a focus on buying Florida trade -in vehicles from Florida New Car Dealers that would be a nice fit for our Indiana operation. Erica loves animals, and lives on a 7 acre horse farm in Ocala, Florida, with a horse, a few donkeys, and a lovable German Shepherd named Toro. Erica has been married to Harrison, also a Ford Motor Company employee, since 2018. In her spare time, she loves to take care of her farm and her animals, as well as beating Harrison, pretty much every time, at golf at their local Ocala golf course.

Kaylee Renfrow - Inventory Manager

Kaylee Renfrow joined the Furthmiller Motors team in August of 2019 as a vehicle detailer, and quickly rose thru the ranks to become our Inventory Manager. Kaylee is responsible for our vehicles being represented correctly for sale on the internet, along with making sure they are all cleaned by our detail department and serviced before the sale as needed. Pictures and videos of our vehicles for sale on our website and Social Media are her specialty, and she is fantastic at it. We are thrilled to have her on the team, running the show for these processes, and wearing several other hats to make things happen too. When not at Furthmiller Motors, Kaylee likes hanging out with her Hubby Cory, including anything from Mud Bogs on the weekends to working on their eclectic fleet of vehicles. Kaylee is an Allstar by all means, and she is friendly and funny, so don't be afraid to say hello the next time you see her out on the lot!
